Original description Ch. elongato-cylindrica, laete cyanea aut viridi-coerulea: pronoto, mesonoto, postscutello abdominisque segmentis dorsalibus 1 et 2 aureis aut viridi-aureis; alis hyalinis, disco infumatis, cellula radiati sub-clausa.

Corpus cylindricum et magis elongatum quam in ulla alia Chrysidum specie: longitudo 5 lin., latitudo corporis 1 ¼ lin. - Caput crasse punctato-coriaceum, coeruleum, cavitate faciali magna, parce punctata, in centro subimpunctata, coerulea, undique viridi-limbata. Thorax crasse et profonde punctatus, punctis confluentibus, - coeruleus pronoto, mesonoto et postscutello rubro-aureis. Segmenta abdominis dorsalia crebre punctata, carinula media leviter indicata; segmenta 1 et 2 rubro et viridi aurea; tertium basi atrum, tunc violaceum et tandem cyaneum, coloribus confluentibus; area basalis aequi longa ac lata, postice rotundata, medio levissime transverse immersa; area terminalis angusta, linearis, margine terminali leviter undulato, scil. in centro sinus levissimus conspicitur et duo similes laterales; series ante-terminalis sat profunda, foveolis majusculis subconfluentibus 10-12. Abdominis segmenta ventralia viridi-coerulea, basi nigra. Pedes coeruleo - virides, tarsis fuscis. Antennae fuscae, articulo primo viridi.
