Re: Hedychridium? Close to roseum?

... it is H. roseum . In case of a female this could be H. chloropygum (females can be without extended violet reflections on T3) or H. rossicum (= valesiense ). Of course, it could be H. roseum , but the punctation of metasoma looks too much dense and coarse. In this area there are other species ...

Re: Another unknown Hedychridium

For me it is not rossicum (the valid name for valesiense, see the paper of Paolo Rosa), because rossicum has a gold-green metallic patch on the central sternite.
But I cannot say if it is sculpturatum or mediocrum.

... fig. 118) and digitus not very long. With the key of Arens (2010, about Hedychridium roseum group from Peloponnese) I hesited between sculpturatum and rossicum (valesiense in the key), with a preference for sculpturatum. What do you think ?

Re: A strange chrysid on dry calcarous grassland

Hi,

yes, there's another option:

Hedychridium mediocrum Linsenmaier.
It's also quite common and females have non metallic abdomen and genae (in dorsal view) subparallel to slighlty divergent (not rounde as in H. roseum and H. valesiense females)
