Postby lihu » 06 Feb 2013 21:27

Hello,
please help ID this Chrysura. According mandibles, shape of a head and skulptace, I think it is not Chrysura austriaka.
Locality South Moravia, Czech Republic.
Thanks a lot.

Dear Libor :welcome:

your specimen is a typical Chrysura austriaca (Fabricius).
Species in the austriaca group are without teeth on mandibulae.
Also long and subparallel malar spaces (genae) are characteristical for this species group.

Cheers
Paolo

P.S. good pictures!
