Hi to all,
is it possible to say more than Chrysis spec.?

Found: Germany, Lower Saxony, Göttingen, Kerstlingeröder Feld, on dead tree near forest edge. 08.07.2013
~8mm estimate.

PS: Dear admin, could some one "free" my first post from 2.7.?

Cannot say much more than that it belongs to the Chrysis ignita complex of species...

Hi Christian,

it seems to be a quite typical form, enlarged and robust, with very large punctures on T-II,
therefore I can tell you that it could be C. longula Abeille or C. subcoriacea Linsenmaier.
Difficoult to be more precise without the examination of the tergites in lateral view.

Cheers
Paolo

Many thanks, Paolo.
Unfortunately I don't have other pics that show more from the tergites.

Cheers, Chrisitan
