Hello,

can someone identify this wasp? It was a small one, length about or less than 5 mm. Or is it – by means of photos – impossible? The fotos aren´t good, I must admit.

Location:Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum,53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, warm and dry habitat, 10th August 2013.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi Peppi,

it looks more like Pseudomalus sp.

Pseudomalus auratus? Because of the rather smooth looking first neckplates

Hello Sezima and Pietsje,

thank you for your answers. So I think, I can name this fly "Pseudomalus cf. auratus".

Greetings from the river Rhine valley,

Michael
