Hi !! My first post in this Chrysidoidea forum, one of the most beautiful groups of insects.
Two photos, taken in Sorbas (Almeria), on 27 April 2013. It seems to be Chrysura genus. Can someone say something else?.

Thanks for any help. Best regards and Happy new year: FELIZ AÑO 2014 !!

:welcome: Manuel!

Beautiful picture!! Your Chrysidid is perfectly defined and we can see all the details of the body sculpture.
Congratulations.

Your ID is correct. It is a specimen belonging to the Chrysura genus. More in detail it is Chrysura radians (Harris) (= pustulosa Abeille).

It is not a rare species, and it usually flies on dead wood, looking for Megachilidae hosts.

Thanks and FELIZ AÑO 2014 !!!!!!
