Found feeding on Achillea filipendulina in area with mediterranean vegetation by a river in the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. Date: 07.07.2013.

It has been suggested that it is Euchroeus limbatus. Can it be confirmed? Thanks in advance!! :)

:wow:

Fabulous!!!
This is one of the most beautiful European species. That's really 8-)

About the ID, Euchroeus limbatus is correct, however I prefer to consider it as a distinct subspecies called dusmeti Trautmann, 1926. The typical limbatus, in fact, is distributed only from Turkey to central Asia and it is distinct in respect of colour and sculpture.

:thanks: for your pictures
Cheers
Paolo

Paolo, :thanks: to you for all the IDs ;) ;) ;) I am astonished and very happy that you like the pictures so much. I have some common species for confirmation and ID (sorry for that  ), but there will be also some other goodies to come ;)

Thanks once more for all your help :D
