I found this beautiful creature in a garden at Årslev, Funen, Denmark just a few days ago, as we do not have much knowledge of this animal in Denmark, nobody have been able to identify it properly, so I hope someone here can be helpful with that.
My personal uneducated guess would be Hedychrum sp., but I never knew of these creatures until I caught it with my camera.

You're right and your specimen belongs to the genus Hedychrum Latreille.

It can be the female of Hedychrum nobile (Scopoli) or Hedychrum niemelai Linsenmaier.
They are both known from Denmark.

Unfortunately, I cannot ID for sure which is your specimen, because the main diagnostic character is found on the ventral surface.
