Hi, I am new in this site.
Could you please help me to identify the specie of this picture?
It was taken in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last December.
Thanks a lot!

:welcome: Eduardo,

I'm sorry for the delay in acquiring your message,
an internal error in our forum has occurred.

Unfortunately I cannot help you with the identification of your specimen.
It belongs to the tribe Chrysidini, but I cannot ID genus and species from the picture.

Do you have other pictures of this specimen?

Obrigado
Paolo

Nice to see pictures from the Neotropics!

Its a Caenochrysis sp., but getting down to species level will probably be hard

Hola Eduardo,

Muchas gracias por uploading nuevas fotos!

They are very nice, but unfortunately I suppose that they are not enough to ID the specimen to specific level.
In fact, within the South American Caenochrysis there are too many similar species, often separated by small diagnostic characteristics.

I'm sorry, but we can try again another time ;-)

Saludos!
Paolo
