This Chrysis species has a straight brow ridge turned down at right angles parallel to the eyes at each end. The tail has four wavy, bluntly-pointed projections. It is still locally frequent on the west coast of the Algarve, Portugal in late October. Any ideas on ID?

Hi Ian!

it's Chrysis splendidula Rossi.

You can find it along the Mediterranean coasts till mid of November, depending on the climate.

Cheers

Hi Paolo

Thanks for that - thought it must be one of the standard ones.
