Huge red Chrysidae

This one was approx. 1,2 cm large, shot in northern Tunisia (Zagouan) today 6/April/17.
Hovering over low rocks on flat ground.

It' one of my favourite chrysidid:
Chrysura barbara (Lucas, 1849) [female]

What a color!
They seem to be very close to C. cuprea that I wanted to meet today.
But it was the same like the last two years: not one specimen...what a pity...
Hope that they return to that area...the hosts are still waiting there...

Unfortunately, I am not collecting any specimens. I am a geologist, and I only have little moments when I am in the field when I can photograph insects. In another lifetime I would like to be an entomologist....
