Hedychridium ardens - Denmark

Postby Martin Bjerg » 25 Jul 2017 10:19

Any help for this one? Found in northern Denmark i a colony of Philanthus triangulus, and therfore suspected H. rutilans. I've had a suggestion for H. ardens as well.

Hi Martin,
sometimes the size of the animal is useful.
In my opinion it could be H. ardens, the shape and coloration of the head seems to fit.
All the best Paul

H. rutilans madde between 8-10mm. I think it is Hedychriium sp (ardens or coriaceum).

Hallo everyone,

I also think that it's Hedychridium ardens,
which is a very variable species.

Cheers

Thanks all. It'll go down as ardens.
