Hi everyone,

a few days ago I saw a specimen in a new area.
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to get reasonable pictures.
But I compared these pictures with the ones I shot this year from several species which belong to Chrysis illigeri.
I read in Linsenmaier (Die Goldwespen der Schweiz) that C. bicolor has a line in the middle of the last tergite.
Also the shape of the apical section seems to be more closed to C. bicolor than to C. illigeri.
What do you think about this?

oh, I was out hunting by my new cam...
A few hours ago I was in that area again and saw some specimen, but... I'll try to get better pics next time.
One of them was quite big (7-8mm) compared to the others I saw and I tried to get a pic from the distance.
I was very surprised how good the quality of the picture was when I zoomed it on the Pc. My old cam would never allow this. Anyway: here ist the result. May it help...

They look like Chrysis illigeri.

The first one is a male, but the colouration is really unusual.
That's why I was interested in checking that specimen.

thank you again! That's what I thought when I saw the last one. But I'm not so firm with them.
The first one made me hope a little bit. Is it possible that both species live in the same area?
Also from a different location with sand on the ground I'm not sure if really all specimen I saw
belong to C. illigeri. Let's see what happens in future...
