Hello,

Bernard Mallet, a naturalist, have photographed this Chrysididae, and wanted the identity.
I think it is Pseudomalus violaceus, but I have no view many specimens of Omalus- Pseudomalus-Philoctetes (only 2 species : O. puncticollis & P. auratus).

What do you think about the specimen ?
Locality : France, Paris region (Eaubonne, 95), August, 9, 2017.
size = +/- 6mm

Hi Jerome,

to me it looks like a pseudomalus violaceus.
Especially the slightly rounded back seems to fit with this species(depending on the picture).

All the best Paul

Here's a view of the back from one of this species.
I took this picture today. Unfortunately the circumstances
didn't allow better ones.
Greetings Paul
