Hi folks,

nearly four years have passed since I saw the species that is shown on the pictures the last time before
I could meet some specimen this season in my home area. Yesterday I was happy to see this species also
in a new area. Let's see what the future will bring. This area seems to be very promising...

All the best Paul

Hi Paul,

I'm not sure 100%.
It could be also a form of Hedychridium caputaureum, for the evident golden-green face and posterior margin of pronotum.

Ciao!

Hi Paolo,

Thanks a lot for your answer! Hedychridium caputaureum I hadn't on the screen.
Til now I only know very few localities for that species in our region and all have
a sandy ground. I could only see them there till the end of July. (Ive added two pics.)
The specimen I first showed comes from my home-locality. There is an alluvial forest nearby and
the ground is basically limestone. Many of the beetles I meet there are known for damp regions.
I'm very interested if it is also possible to meet H. caputaureum in this kind of habitats.
It would open some more chances for this amazing species to me.

All the best Paul
