Hi Bjoern

:welcome: in the Forum!!!

Nice pictures!

Your specimen is a female of the Chrysis ignita group.
I say Chrysis mediata subgroup, because of the pit of the ovopositor, which seems to be very large.
It's always better to examine a prepared specimen of this group to be sure of the ID.
Let's wait for Villu, maybe he could be more precise than me.

Best Regards
Ciao

Hi!

Unfortunately I can't help much, even worse I am not even sure about the Chrysis mediata subgroup. The ovipositor is just not fully extended and I don't think its length can estimated from these photos. Therefore it may belong the C. mediata subgroup but it may also belong to the group of the closest relatives of C. ignita, like C. imressa, C. schencki, C. ignita etc. However there are numerous species, which can be excluded like: C. angustula, C. longula, C. subcoriacea, C. leptomandibularis, C. brevitarsis, C. pseudobrevitarsis.

Unfortunately I can't help more.

Right, I fully understand the problems. Thanks very much for the well-founded answer. Crysis sp. it is.
