Chrysis.net Macrophoto Contest

Come novità a partire dall'anno 2008, Chrysis.net indice un concorso fotografico di durata annuale, aperto a tutti gli appassionati di Macrofotografia, fotografi ed entomologi, professionisti e non.

Per i visitatori. I visitatori possono visualizzare e votare tutte le foto che desiderano, ma è ammesso un solo voto per foto da parte dello stesso visitatore.

Per i partecipanti. Per partecipare al concorso con le proprie foto, è sufficiente inviarci per e-mail le immagini digitali, anche di grandi dimensioni, secondo le modalità indicate nelle regole per gli Autori.

Come funziona. After November 2008 the rating system will be removed and the photos sorted by their final rank, from the most rated to the less rated. Anyway, all the photos previously showed will remain visible. The first twelve ranked photos will become the pages of a printed Calendar for the year 2009 (with days and months in English language). The calendar will be printed in a professional way with the best paper and resolution. Two calendar formats will be available. The calendar can be ordered by e-mail.

 

 

 

Rules for Authors

Subjects: biological subjects, like Insects, Flowers, Musks, Mushrooms, small animals, etc. taken in their natural environment, alive, naturally active and not stunned or unconscious or senseless with chemicals or other tricks. Dead specimens or senseless specimens are banned.

Image formats: all, also RAW formats. If you send RAW images, attach also the JPEG version. Photos should be sent in the highest resolution allowed by your camera. Low resolution images - i.e. with excessive JPEG compression or with a small size under 1000 pixels - will be rejected. We do not accept printed photos. We accept only digital files sent by e-mail at this e-mail container: chrysis.net@gmail.com.

Number of shots: you can send us as many photos you wish; anyway, we suggest you to make a preliminary selection of the best shots. If your shots are a sequence, please limit the sequence to the 4-5 best shots only. You can send your photos at this e-mail container: chrysis.net@gmail.com.

After-shooting retouch ('Photoshopping'): accepted, but you must declare it. The original photo and the final one must be provided, together with the list of the filters/effects applied, "crop" included. Anyway, we suggest to limit the photoshopping to the standard operations only.

Shooting data: required. For each photo the main shooting data must be reported (camera, lens, exposure, additional lenses, flash, shooting location and date), together with Author's generalities (First and Second Name, Country, web site, e-mail).

Publishing date: the photos will be published in short time, according to the technical operations required to adapt them to the web site standards.

Privacy policy. Chrysis.net will use the information you supply in order to process your participation. Your sensible details will not be published, if required. You can review our privacy policy.
