Rosa P. (2004) Alcune osservazioni sulle relazioni tra Vegetazione e Crisidi (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae) in Italia. Giornale italiano di Entomologia, Cremona, 11: 79-90.

Some observations on the relations between Vegetation and Chrysidid wasps in Italy (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae).

Abstract - Some observations on the relations between Vegetation and Chrysidid wasps in Italy (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae). Some new records of plants visited by chrysidid wasps in Italy (with the exception of Daucus carota L. and Achillea millefolium L.) are listed. Some species of Umbelliferae (Laserpitium gallicum L., Heracleum mantegazzianum Sommier et Levrier e Imperatoria verticillaris (L.) DC.) attract successfully many chrysidid species. Other interesting observations on the plants visited by chrysidid wasps in the mountains, as welle as their feeding on pine resins and on the substances exuded by the opening chestnut shells are presented.
