Hi Paul,
sorry, I have no time for Chrysididae in the last period.
It's a common teratology.
Sometimes this deformation can even separate the compound eye, so that you see 3 compound eyes instead of 2!
You can find them everywhere in the chrysidid body, also on the abdomen, and even in this case segments can be totally splitted in 2 parts.
