Not a common species, even if it is more common in E-Europe.

It looks very similar to the other species (
Chrysis marginata), but they belongs to 2 different species group.
The first visible external difference is given in the relative lenght of the flagellomeres. Compare the pictures and you'll see that F-I (first antennal flagellomere) and F-II have different lenght.
Chrysis marginata belongs to the
Chrysis (Chrysis)
comparata group, while
Chrysis taczanovskii belongs to the
taczanovskii group.
According to Linsenmaier the
taczanovskii group belongs to a different subgenus
Cornuchrysis, mainly based on the short F-I in males.
