Original description C. punctata, viridi-coerulea, tarsis testaceis. Long. lin. 2.
Prope Ambukohl, Septembre.
Statura fere C. cyaneae, attamen minor. Confertim punctata, laete viridi-coerulea, capitis vertice, thoracis abdominisque dorso obscurioribus. Antennae fusco-nigrae, articulo primo secundoque cyaneis. Alae hyalinae, nervis sigmateque fuscis. Tarsi obscure testacei. Abdominis ultimum segmentum rotundatum, utrinque unidentatum.

Systematic notes With regards of pumila Klug, 1845 we agree with Linsenmaier (1959) but not with Linsenmaier (1987). About the confusion among the names of persica, pumila, pumilionis and disclusa please refer to Niehuis (2001) and Rosa (2006). Thus, the valid species are three:
- Chrysidea asensioi Mingo, 1985
- Chrysidea persica (Radoszkowski, 1881)
- Chrysidea pumila Klug, 1845.
