Genere & specie Philoctetes helveticus (Linsenmaier, 1959)
Gruppo di specie
Combinazione originale Omalus helveticus Linsenmaier, 1959
Serie tipica Holotypus ♀ (Mus.: Luzern)
Descrizione originale 4-5 mm. Fig. 10-13.
Sinonimi e sottospecie
Note sistematiche Kimsey & Bohart (l.c.) put helveticus in the genus Pseudomalus, without the type examination. In 1993 Tussac & Tussac put correctly helveticus in the genus Philoctetes, but Strumia (1995) refers again helveticus to Pseudomalus, and in 2001, after the examination of the type of putoni Buysson, suggests the synonymy Pseudomalus helveticus = Pseudomalus putoni. We believe that this synonymy is not true, by considering that either Linsenmaier (1959a, 1997a) for helveticus, and Berland & Bernard (1938) for putoni give detailed drawings of the types, from which it is easy to see that the two species are different. Both the species belong to the genus Philoctetes.
