Original description Criysis (sic!) viridi-caerulea, abdomine aureo, ano caeruleo quadridentato.
Habitat passim in Liguria, haud infrequens. Long. 4. lin. Lat. 1. ½ lin.
Antennae nigrae. Caput caeruleum, oculis mandibulisque nigris. Thorax caeruleus, interdùm viridi-micans: scutellum neutiquam porrectum. Abdomen aureum, ano seu andominis apice caeruleo quadridentato: ventre viridi. Pedes caerulei, tibiis tarsique nigris subtus testaceis. Corpus totum, ut in reliquis cospeciebus, nitore metallico splendens, punctatissimum, punctis excavatis. Alae fuscescentes.
Confer cum Chryside ignita. Meo judicio, species distincta.
Observatio. Apud Chrysides omnes, abdomen segmentis tribus constat, sed tertium vel ultimum sulco punctato transvere divisum duplex videtur. Pars posterior, Anus apud D. Fabricius, abdominis Apex apud D. Lepeletier, et mihi, brevitatis causa, Segmentum quartum. Vid. Ins. Lig. Fasc. 1 pag. 9 et 10.
