Original description [Description of Chrysis nitidula Germar, 1817: 260] Chrysis nitidula (ano integro): viridi aurea, capite thoracisque postico coeruleis.
Von Fiume. Sie ist von der Chrysis succincta nur durch ein goldgefarbtes Rückenschildchen unterschieden. Das übrige ist ganz wie bei Chrys. succincta geformt und gefärbt. Die Flügel sind wasserhell.

[Description of Chrysis germari Wesmael, 1839] M. Spinola cite le C. succincta (fasc.1, p.10), en le placant dans une division où, leon lui, les mâles seuls auraient l'anus dénté; d'un autre côte, Jurine, qui ne mentionne que le mâle du même C. succincta, dit qu'il n'a pu reconnaître à l'anus ni dents ni échanctures.
Je ne sais si le C. nitidula de Germar (Ahr. Fn., IV, 12) est réellement une espèce distincte du C. succincta; dans tous les cas, le nom spécifique doit être changé, puisque déjà Fabricius l'avait assigné à une autre espèce (Ent. Syst. II, 243, 21). On pourrait nommer l'espéce de Germar, Chrysis Germari.
