Original description Chrysis indigo. Caerulea, viridi nitens, abdomine, apice quadridentato, antennis tarsisque nigris. Long. 3 lin.

D'un gros bleu elongeant parfois en vert, surtout aux flancs du corselet et sur les cotés les premiers segments de l'abdomen. Pattes et premier article des antennes verts ou rarement bleus. Dernier segment de l'abdomen largement tronqué, avec quatre dents triangulaires aigues. Nous ne voyons dans les divers auteurs que le coerulans Fabr., dont le signalement puisse lui être adapté; mais le coerulans est de la Caroline, et un pareil habitat ne permet pas de croire à leur identié la sexdentata Panz. (lic. cit., 51, fig.12), exprime assez bien l'indigotea pour la forme générale et le fond de la couleur; mais celle de l'auteur allemand est plus grande, et diffère surtout par l'existence de six dents au bout de l'abdomen. Nous n'aveons pas suivi dans toutes ses évoultions, dans ses métamorphoses, la larve de ce Chrysis, que nous croyons ressemlet à celle de la précédente; mais son cocon en differe par sa couleur et sa texture.
