Original description ♂ Type Wallis, Coll. m. - Verbreitung mehr in Mitteleuropa (auch im Osten), im Süden seltener als scutellare T., so in Spanien, S. Frankreich, Bulgarien; aus Italien und Sizilien sah ich kein Stück. Von scutellare T. verschieden durch auffallend divergente und sehr eckige Schläfen; ♂ Genital bedeutend länger, und T3 unregelmässiger punktiert, mit z.T. wulstigen oder runzeligen Intervallen. H. scutellare hat weniger eckige und nicht oder weniger divergente Schläfen, deutlich kleineres ♂ Genital und regelmässig punktiertes T3; ♀ mit hinter den Ozellen häufig schwärzlichem K und oft dunklen Tarsen.
